Make the most of every opportunity to advertise your event - on your web-site, FACEBOOK, Linked In, Blog and other sitesKeep the information current and active - dont let the time/date/location get lost in all of your other activitiesEngage in "conversation" with the store customers by providing regular update to your social media site, ensuring it feeds to the store's media sitesStop selling books out of your trunk about three weeks prior to the event. Direct customers, family, fans and friends to the bookstore where you will be appearingLook for opportunities to create news - issue press releases and update your web sitePost flyers in your neighborhood, in the vicinity of the book event, at the library, etc.Ensure your event is listed on booktour (www.booktour.com)Attend another event at the store to get a feel for how yours will be handled, get to know the author, they would like your support too!Finally, relax and be early.
